Who We Are

The Episcopal Church of All Angels in Spearfish, SD is a vibrant and loving congregation of the Episcopal Diocese of South Dakota. We are a congregation who strive on a daily basis to be the loving and working presence of the Body of Christ in the Northern Black Hills of South Dakota. We are small enough to feel like family and large enough to make a difference. We are a people who love generously and do many works throughout the community.

Our Story

Spearfish's The Episcopal Church of All Angels, perhaps the Black Hills' prettiest place of worship, stands in tribute to the First Treasury Secretary and founding father Alexander Hamilton, the perseverance of Spearfish's settlers, the tradition of Black Hills stone crafting, and maybe to an unknown supplier of storied wood.  Most important, though, it stands as testimony to God's presence in the world and to the teachings of Christ. In classic form its wood ceiling is shaped like a boat's hull reminding us all that we are called to be fishers of people. Founded in 1898, The Episcopal Church of All Angels continues to be a vibrant place of worship, fellowship and outreach in the 21st Century.
